2006 Estate Monopole Pinot Noir

Once again great conditions for ideal Pinot noir growth and development prevailed and Windward Vineyard delighted us by bringing forth a luscious and well balanced “Vendange”. At just under 2.8 tons/acre the chemistries following harvest were perfect and reflected great promise for a wine that would demonstrate attainment of Windward Vineyards unique profile. Seeped in deep mineralization: a wild strawberry bouquet, bright red ripe Bing Cherry flavors on its entrance, a sensuous velvety middle and a long “Peacock Tail” finish that explodes with its layered complexity. This vintage will pair beautifully with a wide variety of culinary delights: salmon, fowl, cuts of flavorful beef, lamb or pork.
