Barrel Select: The best barrels of the 2016 Harvest. Our Gold, Barrel Select Pinot Noir is representative of the Vosne-Romanée vineyards where the wines of Burgundy are more centered and balanced to emphasize the complexity of Pinot Noir clones that thrive in their area. The 2016 opens with aromas of blackberries, spiced cassis, and rose geranium leaping out of the glass. Concentrated fruit and violets are on the long middle velvety palate that provokes the senses to anticipate a long, peacock tail finish with hints of cigarbox, oak phenolics and soft tannins.
